Post-doctoral researcher (Research Council of Finland)

Research line: Gene

Role in project: Cardiovascular diseases, lipid metabolism, RNA therapies, lipid nanoparticles

Research and expertise: I’m a Post-Doctoral Researcher, leading research on the mechanisms of metabolic and inflammatory regulation in coronary artery disease (CAD) and heart failure, especially focusing to gain new insight in the crosstalk between vascular metabolism and cardiovascular diseases. In the Flagship Program, my team aims to develop liver and myocardium targeted RNA therapies for the treatment of CAD and heart failure.

Research interests: atherosclerosis, vascular metabolism, hyperlipidemias, energy metabolism, coronary microvascular dysfunction, macrophages, histopathology, disease models.
