New EIC-funded NutriEV project studies nutrient-enriched extracellular vesicles
A new international research project funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC) has started in the University of Oulu. The NutriEV project, led by the GeneCellNano Flagship Vice Director, Professor Seppo Vainio, is the first EIC project coordinated by the University of Oulu.
The NutriEV project is focused on nutrient-enriched extracellular vesicles (EVs) that originate from food and the gut. The research project will study how these EVs contribute to the regulation of homeostasis, and how changes in the molecular composition of these EVs can affect the development of metabolic disorders.
