MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship awarded for the development of nanoparticles for treating ocular diseases

Natalia Zashikhina, a post-doctoral researcher in Professor Arto Urtti’s group, was granted a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship. The funded LIPOmRNA-project is focused on the development of lipid-based nanoparticle systems for mRNA delivery into the corneal, conjunctival and retinal cells, for the treatment of ocular diseases such as retinal degeneration and uveitis.
